About Us...

Eric Ivory

After graduating from Amherst College in 1983, Eric Ivory moved to San Francisco to get involved in the fledgling microcomputer industry. Mr. Ivory worked as a programmer and technical consultant for Bank of America, Safeway Stores, and Del Monte until 1987, when he struck out on his own and founded Data Basis Systems Consulting. Since that time, Mr. Ivory has worked as an independent contractor in many roles—as database administrator, network administrator, hardware and software tech support, technical writer, training developer, and member of a small business turnaround team. Mr. Ivory incorporated Ivory Development Group in 1994.

Over the years, Mr. Ivory has a proven track record for developing top-quality documentation and training for first-release technology products. In today's business climate, technical knowledge is increasingly transient and almost immediately obsolete. Mr. Ivory offers a broad range of durable skills, relevant expertise, and tools competence that is quickly transferable to emerging technologies and future projects. Perhaps most important is Mr. Ivory's ability to quickly grasp complex technical products from different perspectives—marketing, engineering, field services, and business users—and then to teach this in-depth knowledge to the target audience in the most effective manner possible.
